what our clients say

Dajai was absolutely amazing during my wife’s pregnancy and labor. I honestly don’t know how my wife would have gotten through labor without her. Even though she was in another state, she guided us every step of the way, educating us, walking me through what to do, and helping me support my wife through each contraction. The biggest challenge we faced was when my wife’s water broke, but the hospital sent us home, saying it hadn’t broken and that her contractions weren’t close enough. I called Dajai right away, and over the phone, she helped us count contractions, showed me how to squeeze my wife’s hips, encouraged rolling on the exercise ball, and suggested getting into warm water to help soothe her. Sure enough, the contractions were much closer than the hospital believed. We went back, and my wife was able to finish her labor there. I truly don’t know what we would have done without Dajai because I definitely didn’t want to end up delivering the baby at home, haha. Thank you so much, Dajai! We look forward to your support with our next child. Highly recommend!

I’d highly recommend Dajai as I received exceptional care from her during both of my pregnancies. I met Dajai in 2023 lying in a hospital bed where I was exhausted from labor and fighting frustration due to not progressing. She entered my room and I’ll never forget her first words to me “we’re having a baby today.” She thoroughly explained the game plan for the day and it went exactly as she explained. I was high risk at the time and the care and attention to me was phenomenal! She never left my side. She advocated for me to ensure the team she worked with was on board to provide me with the best care. My baby was born safely and fast as her knowledge and techniques worked! Dajai is very knowledgeable in this field and I trust her which is why I made sure she was informed on my 2nd pregnancy. Due to being high risk the first time, she ensured I had the right medication to try to avoid triggers from the first one. We stayed connected up until delivery of my second baby. Though she didn’t deliver my second baby, I made sure to let her know how things went and she made time to come check on me while in the hospital. Medical professionals like Dajai are heaven sent and rare. I truly thank God for her and I’ve recommended her to new moms! During my postpartum times, she’s reached out to check on me and that simple thing is so major.

Dr. Dajai Scott worked as my midwife during my first and second pregnancy. She also served as my childbirth doula during my second pregnancy. She is the reason my preeclampsia was caught early and I am eternally grateful, as I have always felt that she saved my son and my life. She is a huge part of the reason I felt so comfortable during my next pregnancy only ten short months after having my first child. She made me feel safe, seen, and heard. She left a tremendous impact on my family and even managed to change my husband’s perspective on midwifery (he initially preferred I have an OBGYN). Dajai is one of the most kind, patient, intelligent, and amiable people I have ever met in my life. If I were to ever conceive again, reaching out to Dajai would be at the top of my list. Her advocacy for her patients is astounding. Her care and attentiveness is stellar. Lastly, her knowledge in matters of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum was so valuable to my family and I.

Even from miles away, Dajai made me feel supported throughout both pregnancies and birth journeys. As a first-time mom, I had so many questions and anxieties, but she was always just a phone call or text away with answers, encouragement, and evidence-based advice. She empowered me with tools to advocate for myself, ask the right questions, and truly understand what was happening with my body. When it came time for labor and delivery, her guidance didn’t stop. She stayed in close contact with my husband, helping him support me every step of the way. Even though she wasn’t physically in the room, I felt her presence. She made sure I felt heard, respected, and cared for, and I’ll never forget the impact she has had on my experiences with pregnancy and motherhood.

I truly don’t have enough words to describe how incredible Dajai is. She supported me through the births of both of my daughters, and to this day, she remembers more about those moments than I do! Her presence was calming, knowledgeable, and deeply compassionate every step of the way. What makes Dajai so special is how deeply she listens. Every concern I had, no matter how small, she treated with care and respect. She made sure I always felt safe, heard, and empowered during one of the most vulnerable and beautiful times of my life. One of the most unforgettable moments was giving birth during COVID. My mom couldn’t be in the room with me, and I was heartbroken. But Dajai was there—not just physically, but emotionally. She held space for me, reminded me of my strength, and reassured me that I could do this. She even took photos, making sure I had something to remember the moment with, even though everything else felt so uncertain.Dajai was more than a birth worker—she was family when mine couldn’t be there, strength when I felt weak, and a memory-keeper when everything was a blur. I will forever be grateful to her. If you’re looking for someone to walk beside you with empathy, wisdom, and love—look no further. Dajai is truly amazing.

I had the honor of having Dajai deliver my baby, and it was truly the most empowering experience. Her calm, knowledgeable presence made me feel safe, supported, and confident throughout the entire process. She knew exactly when to guide and when to step back, trusting my instincts while offering expert care throughout my pregnancy and labor. From my very first appointment to delivery Dajai was there every step of the way!. If her e-book is anything like her approach to birth, it will be full of wisdom, support, and encouragement every expecting parent deserves.

Dajai has been my friend for over 10 years, so to have her by my side—professionally and personally—during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life was incredibly special. She was my long-distance doula with an in-person presence, staying on FaceTime for almost my entire 18+ hour labor. She helped me understand my options, reminded me of my power, and made sure my partner felt informed and ready to advocate for me too. Seeing someone I’ve grown with show up in such a grounded, knowledgeable, and intentional way was not only comforting—it was empowering. Especially as a Black woman, witnessing that kind of support and care from within our own community meant everything to me.

Dajai was so wonderful and comforting right from the start. I came in with so much anxiety and stress and she was so knowledgeable and made me feel so much better about it all. She thoroughly explained every step we took to have a safe delivery and truly made me feel so much better about it all. I’m so grateful to have had her there with me to safely bring my daughter earth side.

Even from miles away, Dajai was a true pillar of support during my pregnancy and labor. Though I live in Texas and she was in Michigan, she never let the distance get in the way of showing up for me. She provided virtual support through phone calls, text messages, and video chats, always ready to answer my questions, explain test results, and check in after doctor’s appointments. During labor, she not only guided me through comfort techniques and different positions to ease the pain, but she also supported my husband by coaching him on how to best help me.Dajai’s emotional support meant so much. Her encouragement and calm presence gave me confidence when I needed it most. She went above and beyond, even though she wasn’t officially my doula. She was virtually present at the hospital, gave helpful tips on foods that could support labor, and shared resources for my postpartum recovery.Dajai is incredibly caring, knowledgeable, and passionate about what she does. She truly makes you feel seen, heard, and empowered. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking support through pregnancy, birth, or postpartum.

Dajai has been an amazing support for both of my pregnancies! She has always been very knowledgeable in providing education towards my pregnancy journey and postpartum. It’s especially helpful that she provides support specifically for Black women that we don’t often get to hear about with other providers. Dajai’s support allowed me to have a smooth, and natural pregnancy the first time, and I’m looking forward to that being the same for this time around. Highly recommend her to be a part of your family’s journey!

I went into labor with my son at 34weeks exactly. I was so scared because I had never had a premature baby before so I didn’t really know what to expect but what I was told by doctors and it scared me! But Dajai made my labor and delivery a breeze from pain management to holding my hand when it was time to push! I really don’t think I could’ve done it without you Dajai. You were so calm and patient with me and helped me bring my baby boy into this world with no complications and for that I thank you and Love you. You deserve an award for best midwife! Here’s a pic of Sammie as a newborn and him now he’s such a big boy so smart and handsome

I am deeply grateful for Dr.Scott’s care and expertise. When my midwife unexpectedly missed my delivery, she stepped in without hesitation and ensured my baby was delivered safely. She has the knowledge of modern medicine and natural healing. Including but not limited to herbal healing, natural remedies, and provide a holistic postpartum care experience. Those components made a world of difference in my recovery. Beyond her medical skill, she brought compassion, reassurance, and a sense of empowerment to one of the most important moments of my life. I was referred to Dr. Dajai Scott by my doula during my third pregnancy, which was also my first time working with both a doula and a midwife. From the very beginning, Dajai put me at ease. She created a safe space where I felt comfortable asking any questions, and her care felt like family. At 40 weeks, I had a minor fall at home and went to the hospital as a precaution. After several hours of monitoring, the doctor recommended medical induction—something I did not want. Dajai and my midwife team supported me fully in my decision to wait and allow labor to begin naturally. With their encouragement, I went home, returned the next day refreshed, and began the natural birthing process I had hoped for. Dajai was by my side through every step of labor—walking the halls with me, helping me into different positions, coaching me, and advocating for me. She wasn’t just a midwife; she was a partner, a guide, and a steady source of strength in one of the most critical moments of my life. My labor and delivery felt natural, comfortable, and filled with love, and I couldn’t have imagined a better experience. One special memory I’ll always cherish is that Dajai even agreed to make an Instagram Reel with me while I was in labor—it was such a fun, natural moment that captured the beauty of natural birthing. Dr. Dajai’s passion for equipping women—especially Black mothers—with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to advocate for themselves shines through in her care. She empowered me to trust my body and my choices, and for that I will always be grateful.
